Our most important steps
CoMETA grew fast enough. In a few years a small, brillant and forward-looking family company has become a market leader in the field of physical security solutions. We have taken important and decisive steps for our future, which allowed us to become a big company.
2021
- CoMETA celebrates 35 years of activity
- Bringing together all divisions under the CoMETA brand into one large entity
- CoMETA becomes part of Faac Technologies
2019
- CoMETA Group Srl changes name to Talitah Srl based in Milan with offices for sales support and technical assistance (Italy and worldwide).
2018
- Constitution of CoMETA Service for after-sales services and technical assistance.
2017
- CoMETA signs important agreement with international partner and distributors.
- New partnerships with security’s professional companies for Africa, Middle East and Asia markets.
2016
- Expansion of the CoMETA Headquarter with production area extention, for a total of 14.000 square meters.
2015
- Constitution of CoMETA Group Ltd., located in Milan to manage the famous “Tonali” brand, well known and specialized in security solutions.
- Establishment of ISON Ltd., located next to the CoMETA SpA headquarter. Creation of the new production division, specialized in mechatronics.
2010
- Opening of CoMETA Padua branch with functional departments of design, sales, installation and administration.
2009
- Transformation from a General Partnership to a Joint Stock Company.
2000
- Achievement of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification, for processes and activity concerning:

1999
- Establishment of CoMETA France company, located in Paris, created for distribution and customer support in French-speaking countries and to provide better support to the French banking institutions.
- Establishment of the CICoS Consortium, to provide territorial technical support throughout Italy (islands included). A Consortium ready to arrange a large number of Italian Professional Assistance Centers specialized in security.
1997
- CoMETA moves to its new bigger Headquarter, in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, near Florence resulting in an expansion of 4.000 spare meters, for: management, administration, design, production, testing, logistics, warehouse.
1996
- Expansion of the production of security solutions, values protection and safety solutions.
1992
- Increase of Security Cabins production for the whole Italian Banking market.
1990
- Production of Self-managed Security Cabins (called "Bussole" in Italy), with single passage checking system and interlocking doors system.
1986
- Anselmi brothers founded CoMETA S.n.c. in Barberino Val d’Elsa (Florence county) and its main activity was the production of professional security electric locks.
